ABOUT PI

Professor MinJae Woo received a B.S. from the University of California - Los Angeles (UCLA) in Mathematics and Economics and his Ph.D. from the Clemson University - Medical University of South Carolina (joint) in Biomedical Data Science and Informatics.

His research interests lie in the area of healthcare data science, focusing on its application in medical imaging, clinical text, and clinically-oriented speech. He spent his early career developing a variety of clinical decision support tools to assist with combat medics on the battlefield and radiologists in cancer clinics. His broader research agenda includes scalable healthcare analytics aggregating extracted information from all possible data sources.
